Patriot Golf Day Challenge Expands Event

There’s some great news in store for the Folds of Honor foundation concerning the Patriot Golf Day Challenge. The Myrtle Beach PGA Patriots announce they will expand their event to three days. Two years ago the group played 100 holes of golf to raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation and last year they played 200 holes….in one day. They raised 16000 dollars the first year and over 32000 dollars the second. This year they have added a gala event on the Friday before Labor Day, a Scramble on the Saturday before Labor Day, and 100 holes by the Myrtle Beach PGA Patriots on Sunday.

The gala will be held at Crow Creek with dinner, speakers, and entertainment. The scramble will be at The Pearl Golf Links. The $400 per team fee to enter the tournament also gets the player dinner at the Gala…thanks to presenting sponsor Stick Fingers. The Sunday 100 hole challenge will once again be held at Rivers Edge Golf course. Spectators are encouraged for both golf events. There will be lots of food and beverages for all.

This is the 10th anniversary for The Folds Of Honor Patriot Golf Day celebration. Founded by PGA member Major Dan Rooney The Folds have provided 10,000 scholarships to the children and spouses of those killed or disabled while in service to our nation.
